So far I l’ve been enjoy this camera before I purchased this a6700 I’ve been using the Sony a6500 most definitely feels like a upgrade still a few thing I have to adjust too like new settings layout (which is great ) and picture profile features that are slightly different from what I usually use on my previous model. Battery life is amazing I usually go through multiple with this one I haven’t had to change the battery during one job ( about 4 hrs)
Only 1 actual issue I had with this model I tried plugging up one of my gimbals ( zhiyun Weebill Lab ) type-c to type-c which was necessary to pair with camera and all of the sudden my camera display appeared a red screen with error code and lost all functionality couldn’t even power off the a6700 without taking the battery out ended having to return it to Best Buy and order a new one I haven’t even had the camera a whole month I did add the two year geek squad protection so that came in handy only thing is I would have to repay to add protection on the exchange however be sure to do research if you plan on hooking the a6700 to a gimbal that requires you to physically plug it up to make sure they’re compatible. My (zhiyun weebill s )worked fine other then that I’m still willing to give this a6700 another shot make sure to add your geek squad protection guys.

The Sony Alpha a6700 camera is truly an impressive technological marvel in the world of mirrorless cameras, and I cannot help but share my positive experience with this model.
First and foremost, the image quality is top-notch, thanks to the 24.2-megapixel Exmor CMOS sensor. It delivers sharp and detailed images with excellent resolution, along with a wide dynamic range, which is crucial for shooting in various lighting conditions.
The autofocus of this camera is a real wonder. With improved Real-time Eye AF and Real-time Tracking technology, the camera quickly and accurately focuses on the subject, keeping up with its movements. This makes it an ideal choice for capturing dynamic scenes such as sports events or fast-paced action.
The built-in image stabilization was a pleasant surprise, effectively compensating for camera shake. This feature is particularly useful when shooting at long focal lengths or in low-light conditions.
The camera also excels in 4K video recording, making it a versatile tool for those interested in both photography and videography.
The ergonomics and design of the camera are also excellent. The well-placed buttons and the tilting touchscreen make the shooting process enjoyable and intuitive.
In summary, the Sony Alpha a6700 is a powerful creative tool that combines outstanding image quality, fast autofocus, and cutting-edge technology in a convenient and compact body. I wholeheartedly recommend this camera to enthusiasts and photography professionals alike.

I purchased a Sony a6000 roughly 6 years ago for its small form factor. I wanted a camera that was super easy to carry so I’d always take it with me where ever I would go, and I did. It made me fall in love with photography again and use my camera a lot. So, when the a6700 came available, the upgrade just made sense, even at the price. Having the same form factor (slightly bigger in good ways), gave me the comfort of knowing I wasn’t buying something that would sit on the shelf. Having all the bells and whistles on a new camera is great, but worthless if it was too cumbersome to walk out the door with it. So if you’re new to the a6000 line of cameras, you’ll see similar reviews on these small package, high quality cameras being so great for traveling.
The second reason for the upgrade can be easily summarized by the crazy amount of new features this camera offers for photography and videography that used to only be found of Full Frame higher end cameras. The one in particular to me was the insane speed and accuracy of the Auto Focus capabilities. You can chose your subject in the menu for added accuracy and get locked on to your subject or subject’s eye, and keep it there for multiple shots. I’m still blown away at how easy this camera is to use and the details I can capture with it.
If you are new to Sony Alpha Cameras, then another big plus, is the lens options. From the APS-C to the Full Frame lenses, they all use the same E-Mount for lens connection, meaning you can invest in lenses that are universal in the Sony Alpha line, should you buy another camera or upgrade within the line, like me. I will continue to use both cameras for many years but have comfort in knowing that if I ever decide to upgrade again, the money I’ve spent on lenses won’t be lost. (There are differences in APS-C and Full Frame lenses in how they function on different bodies, so do the research before you buy to get the best use out of the lens. It’s ideal to use APS-C on APS-C bodies, same with full frame, but it is capable enough to call them universal)
I’ve added pics below that I’ve taken with various APS-C lenses, which all take advantage of Sony’s insane auto focus capabilities. Sony 50mm OSS (Street Photography), Tamron 18-300mm (Animals), Sigma 16mm **All edited in Lightroom

I recently upgraded to the Sony a6700 for my videography and light photography needs, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. This camera offers incredible 4K video quality, producing crisp, clear footage with vibrant colors and excellent dynamic range. The autofocus is impressively fast and accurate, making it perfect for capturing smooth, professional-looking videos even in dynamic shooting environments.
For photography, the a6700 shines with its high-resolution sensor, delivering sharp and detailed images. The camera handles low-light conditions well, producing minimal noise and maintaining good image quality. The compact and lightweight design is a bonus, making it easy to carry around for both video shoots and casual photography sessions.
Overall, the Sony a6700 has exceeded my expectations and is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to step up their videography and photography game. Highly recommended!

I have recorded for 5+ hours 1080p and this thing has never once over heated on me. I LOVE how the batteries on this thing last like 3+ hours. The video quality is EXTREMELY CRISP and my friends gave me a ton of compliments because of how beautiful it (the footage) looks. It’s also pretty light to carry around and film. The only downside is that the camera flips out on the right (for vlogging I prefer it to flip from the top) but that’s a very minor issue. Sony A6000 series cameras are absolutely BEASTS.

I pre-ordered this camera when it was announced. A week after it was shipped, I took it for a trip to Australia, and Thailand. I am very pleased with it. It is the best travel camera. It is better than the A7C that I Had. With the size and all functions in this camera nothing can beat it. I owned an A7RV, and It is the miniature of A7RV. It has most functions that the A7RV had in an APS-C factor. I sold my A7c to get this camera and I have no regrets for letting my A7C go.

The Sony A6700, the latest in Sony’s APS-C lineup, is a fantastic choice if you’re looking for a high-performing camera that won’t break the bank. With its 26MP sensor, it delivers sharp, vibrant photos and handles low-light conditions with ease—perfect for portraits, family moments, and indoor photography.
Its autofocus is top-notch, locking onto eyes (human or animal) seamlessly, even with moving subjects. For video, it offers 4K 120fps recording, making it great for cinematic clips, though there’s a slight rolling shutter on fast pans.
Compact and lightweight, the A6700 is easy to carry around, and it pairs well with affordable prime or zoom lenses for versatility. While the battery life and menu navigation could be better, it’s a minor trade-off for such great value.
If you’re after a camera that delivers excellent results without putting a dent in your wallet, the A6700 is a smart pick!
