I don’t have other Sonos products yet but I do have apple home pods so I was looking for a portable battery operated speaker that supports both airplay 2 and Bluetooth that can be used anywhere I need As far as I know, this is the only portable speaker on the market at this price and size that supports Bluetooth and AirPlay 2. Sounds quality is decent and very subjective. Really depends on how you use a speaker. I have this in my small bathroom near the shower so it sounds good.
If you just need a portable speaker that connects via Bluetooth there are many options. But, if you need or want Airplay 2, then this is the one to get.

The moment a song starts playing everyone notices the quality improvement. Even its just youtube rips so you can imagine how a FLAC file would sound. 10/10.
Best Buy also has some of the best returns/costumer service care.
Its pricy but you get what you paid for.

I had to buy an extra surge protection for my fish tank since a power outage in the summer ruin my filter and killed my fish when the line was hit with lightening! The cord was super long and because it’s refurbished it’s almost like recycling!

Could be better if it worked with Chromecast and I could add it to a speaker group with other Google Speakers, but I guess there’s a dispute between Sonos and Google

The Sonos Roam has amazing sound for such a small speaker. I compared this to my JBL Link 10 and the Roam not only sounds better, but the start up time is sooo much faster. My refurb unit has had no issues whatsoever for me yet, though it is worth noting that I am currently at week 2 of owning my Roam.

Speaker does not work, (doesn’t connect to other Sonos products) after 4 months. Best Buy will not return/exchange them. I called the manufacturer only to get the run around. The Sonos system was the worst purchase we have made. There are so many glitches. This company did not create the Sonos System with the consumer in mind. Horrible. It’s not worth the money AT ALL.

At this price point, the Sonos Roam is absolutely worth it. I was so impressed with the first BB Refurb unit that I bought that the moment I noticed the Add to Cart button was active again a couple weeks later, I didn’t hesitate to buy another (there’s not a single mark on either unit that would suggest that they’re not new). They’re so versatile to use around the house and yard with my other Sonos speakers. I especially enjoy extending the TV audio from my Arc to the Roam and carrying it into the kitchen, bathroom, or out to the workshop– so even when I’m out of sight of the TV, I don’t feel like I’m missing anything. I’ve only rarely used it as a bluetooth speaker, but I have used it to get a bluetooth source into the rest of my system- for that ability alone the Roam would be great, but I’m really liking (and using) these things so much more than I ever thought I would.
