This is a good tool as to be expected from Makita. The xlock system, while it is convenient, the accessories are not as available as I would like. I suggest going to your local hardware store amd look for the xlock accessories before buying. This may change a s time goes on.

I like all Makita products, but this one is lightweight and easy to use, switching blades within seconds and having plenty of power makes this the finest grinder I have used

Hard to beat Makita, good price, it cuts good, holds up good. I ordered the paddle trigger model too, I believe I’ll like the trigger alot.
We have cut a lot of rebar for concrete, Bosch cut off disc, cuts like butter, it’s a tough grinder, all Makita products are good,I have an electric circular saw from the 80’s, I cut rafters, etc, framing houses in the 90’s, probably 50+ houses, I replaced the trigger and brushes, the saw still runs/cuts good, the best circular saw, made in my opinion.

Very good value for the price paid. Feels like a corded Makita grinder when switched on. Thos leads me to another great feature, there is no safety mechanism to sqeeze before depressing the on switch! Came with 2 guards and a quick change blade set up. Don’t know how universal these are yet. Good purchase.so far. Very impressed by its power.

I can’t believe this unit with X-Lock is less money than classic mount grinders??? I love the X-Lock. So fast to go back and forth from cot off to grinder wheels. The grinder it’s self is a very solid tool.

Wish they came out with X-Lock a long time ago! It’s the only way to go. I know Makita can be an expensive brand but I never have any problems with it. This grinder gets the job done and then some. Easy to use. Has a construction worker, this comes in handy and is durable. Go Makita!

Nice features and good design. The tooless disk change is nice, but requires special X lock disks. Shroud adjustment is also tooless which is really nice when you need to adjust the angle of cut. Comes with 2 shrouds and handle. It’s long with the battery, around 16.25″ but well balanced and very sturdy feeling. Might be tough to use in tight spots. Also seems quieter than my old plug-in. Has battery indicator on the tool, which is nice to know when it’s getting low.
