I bought what I believed was HP computer through Rockystone Electronics with 64GB memory & a 4TB SSD drive upgrade.
After 4 months, the SSD drive died. I tried to work with Rockystone to remediate the situation, but to no avail. My assumption is that manufacturer warranty runs for 1 year.
Eventually, I had to use a local repair shop to remove the SSD drive & put in a new one. On opening the computer, it turned out that Rockystone had put in a significantly cheaper SSD drive, which gave way rather soon. My repair person was also iffy about the 64GB memory chips that were installed.
On reinstalling Windows 11, I was not also provided product code for Windows 11 Pro that I had originally bought. So have ended up Windows 11 Home that the repair shop was able to install. Eventually I’ll have to figure out how to upgrade to Pro myself.
If you are buying from Rockystone, I’d say buyer beware .. the replaced parts may be sub-standard and with very little support. Do check the exact quality of the parts you are buying.

This laptop is great. I really have no idea why there are so many bad reviews for this product because it has performed perfectly for over a year now for me. It may be user error because many of the issues it may have are easy to solve.
I have read other reviews from people who have bought the laptop to complain about parts suddenly breaking and some have said that the cooling is poor. I will admit that the cooling is not the best, but I solved it with a simple $15 external USB fan that keeps the whole thing cool for sessions spanning over 8 hours. The parts breaking is the most confusing issue I saw because like I said, after over a year of use, this laptop has performed perfectly and overall exceeded my expectations.
I must have gotten a one of a kind perfect laptop with zero issues because I have had none of the issues that other reviews have said.

If I could give zero stars I would. HP is my go to laptop brand. This laptop had the specs I was looking for, but after 6 months of light use, the hard drive died without warning. Repeated attempts to contact seller for a replacement went unanswered as well as attempts to contact the hdd manufacturer directly. Definitely avoid this seller on Amazon as they upgrade factory laptops with low end parts and HP will not help you as a result. They also seem unwilling to answer customers.
