Maybe I am off on this but when I recently had to replace my reciprocating saw and bought a new DeWalt I was shocked at battery prices, especially when the price of the battery was more than the price of the saw. After I was revived by the paramedics and left the store (I really did not have to be revived – that was to make a point) I went to Amazon and looked for a battery that would work in my DeWalt and not require a second mortgage. And so I bought this battery. I have not had it long but so far it works well, charges pretty quick and lasts a decent amount of time. It does what I require it to do and it does not die on me only after a few minutes. The price was good so at this point I cannot complain. It beats the $230 for the battery the store wanted to sell me…

I used this battery on my DeWalt sawzall to cut up limbs for campfire wood. My older 4 amp DeWalt battery is ok, but after some hard use, the charge is depleted. This 5 amp battery not did not quit today!!! Not only did this battery easily outlast my 4 amp, but it had no problem powering my sawzall through limbs up to 5 – 6 inches in diameter!!!!

Charges to 100%. Good product. Have two others dated manufacture 2016 and these still perform and hold their charge. So would expect this one will last as well as these old ones.

After a few years, original battery is providing shorter and shorter runtimes. This new battery has brought new life to my drill and getting much more runtime over the original 4ah battery it is replacing. No issues with this replacement battery.
