I’ve owned Asus laptops for the past 8 years. ROG and Zenbooks have logical easy-to-use keyboard layouts. this one is strange. It has many functions on keys that really don’t need a key like changing the color of keyboard lights.
Along with some other wasted keys, this pushed important keys like delete, print screen, etc. way over to the far right below the power button. Coupled with the poor lighting and black keys, this makes me have to lean forward, study the keys closely, and select a key. May seem trivial, but doing that 10 times is beyond annoying.

Ordered on 11 Jan and received it on the 17th, was shipped from US to South Africa, so shipping times are fast and on point through Amazon.
-Laptop is great product and good enough to play most new titles @ high settings.
-GTAV very high settings over 100 FPS in 1080p and 70 to 110 FPS @ 1440p on external monitor through HDMI.
-Furmark =133 FPS @1080p (8000 score in Furmark gpu stress test) almost on par with the 3060 desktop GPU.
-GPU and CPU do get really hot under full load on Turbo mode (GPU=87C and CPU=94C) but custom fan curves using armory crate software will help with that. Or underclock both GPU and CPU will keep temps much lower @ the cost of 5-10 fps.
The GPU uses 100 to 140 watts when gaming with Mux on and in turbo mode.
The CPU uses 20 to 40 watts when gaming in turbo mode.
-300HZ Screen is SUPER smooth on high fps games, and the colors are also more accurate than lower SRGB screens
-Battery last a long time (5hours+) if in ECO mode and just browsing and watching movies/music.
When gaming and in turbo mode (Mux switch on) the GPU/CPU will chow full battery within 2 hours.
-Backlit RGB keyboard is nice, can switch between many lighting setting and colors, and 3 brightness levels.
-Wifi surprisingly sucks when connecting to access points far away(10metes +) compared to my office Dell laptop. but when close to AP the throughput is as expected. 100+mbs.
-RAM 2x 8Gig 4800Mhz ram, so its dual channel which really gives a boost in gaming performance.
-Touchpad is smooth/accurate and does exactly what it should. clicks are soft and acceptable.
-1 Year ASUS accidental damage Warranty,
-240 Watt Charger gets super hot when gaming, maybe consider some cooling fan blow on charger for charger longevity.
-All in all it is a great gaming laptop as it plays all the games I like high settings both 1080p and 1440p.

DO NOT BUY!!! iv had 4 gaming laptops over the last 10 years. This being my 2nd time buying asus. All I can say is this will be my final time. The motherboard went out 2 months after the 1 year warranty. The customer service is also foreign to North America and unprofessional. NEVER AGAIN

I use this device for light gaming, programming and Work .
My Cons: Battery life, Battery life.. my biggest issue with this product, is the battery life, but this is with the screen brightness at maximum and probably a hour of casual gameplay nothing intensive , this is out of box, I haven’t viewed or modified any configurations for performance etc. The keyboard backlight is a little weak even at maximum , the FKEYS especially, that aside for the cost I believe it to be a good acquisition for school/Work and light gaming.
My Pros: I have had no issues with overheating thus far, I’ll run further battery tests and provide an update needs be. The display is smooth, 300 HZ so that’s to be expected. The machine is sturdy , the webcam is average. Num pad included and the trackpad is responsive.
